Some designers were banned from franchises like Baixo Cidade for practices like this, but they're still here. The problem is not necessarily those who buy textures from other designers, if there are those who want to sell their labor, ok, but we are talking about people who are using programs, such as the IMVU Extractor, to steal textures through these programs. UV/RLC could even check the codes and keywords match before allowing an item for sale to be entered in the clothing catologue.Īny post that talks about texture/clothing theft will always be extended. Agreed with other worlds in advance as they all use the same world base program with just a few subtle changes. If the seller never agreed to selling in other markets then the scammers lose any income from the sales. Any clothing surfacing in other UV leased worlds can be traced back to the original world where the code was obtained. This extra work and detail means a lot less scamming going on and less arguments about it. Reach this stage and they keep more people because the scammers are getting less and quality clothes are in abundance. In doing so UV/RLC keep some of the best designers. Anyone having no code that matches the number/word or any number/word gets a warning. Anyone having the code and no word/number are either not the true sellers or lost the details, agreed this can no longer be sold if lost-no recompense. Only sellers using that code and knowing the number or word are the true sellers. Any clothing sale cannot be set up unless it has a UV/RLC code from a set day onwards. Then they give UV/RLC a number or word that represents that code. When a prospective seller wants to place an item in the clothing catologue they ask for a code from UV/RLC and embed it in the design. It's just a pity that UV/RLC cannot maintain a database of codes. But in real world shops they have a plastic security ring connected and release it on purchase. Nothing is impossible to get around, here or in the shops. It passed the big boys inspection so it must be Okay to use. I guess that rule went out the window when I picked up a layout from the swag bag that had to be 95% IMVU textures that were floating freely on the net. When i started here there was a rule about not having textures and other goods on here from other site. I was speaking of the stuff just floating out there freely made by people on IMVU. That will be difficult, many designers of IMVU sell their textures with resellrights:Īctually I was not speaking of these goods on sites for sale. Maybe RLC should hire IMVU designers to do the Texture Editor. So in fact RLC hands are not totally clean. But, I still see IMVU textures that are pictured on the net being used here in layouts for sale. As far as stuff being here from Second life, that was explained some time ago. My take on it was Secret City is the same as RLC therefore whatever lands in RLC just may land in SC and apparently the designers know this as I don't see not one in here kicking up a fuss about that fact. I did not interpet what Lady stated in the same way as you.
